01.Into the Blue
If you were seduced by last season’s trend for beautiful inky blues, then bringing your interior scheme into SS15 is going to be a breeze! Brighter, Mediterranean blues have replaced last year’s deep shades and are going to be big news, and you and can recreate this fresh, feel-good look by adding white into your indigo scheme. Pairing darker blues with crisp white accents will lift the moodiness out of the tone for an interior design idea that will lift your spirits and inspire you all summer long without going for a complete overhaul.
02.Style in Black & White
As we all know, a monochrome palette is always in style but in 2014 it was particularly prominent across the interior collections. SS15 is also going to be playing host to black and white schemes with bold geometric patterns working alongside simple, Scandic furniture designs. Grey is the neutral shade of the season and this is being worked into monochrome schemes to add softness and modernity to what can sometimes feel like harsh contrast.
Elegant white schemes transferred from SS14 to AW14 last year and it is possible to make your simple white bang on trend for SS15 too! Crisp white walls and furnishings are the perfect backdrop for a fresh spring palette and this year the most delicate of blush pinks are the perfect accompaniment. Look out for shades that are warm but not too sweet for an accessible interior idea that is full of the joys of spring!
From the dining table to the bed, super soft linens are filled with spring spirit. We’re stocking up on blush, pale grey and mint linen napkins for a fresh new season interior design idea.
05.Here to stay for SS15
Although lots of wonderful new designs, colours and materials are cropping up for the new season, several interior trends from AW14 are here to stay!
Last year’s favourite metal finish is staying strong for SS15 and copper accessories, lighting and tableware will be appearing across a number of this season’s collections. We adore its warm, burnished feel and will be pairing it with contemporary glass and soft pink hues for spring.
The trend for gorgeous organic wood finishes is also transferring from last season to this one and beautiful driftwood-style furnishings are perfect for bringing some holiday vibes into your interior scheme.
