Tell us a little bit about your business…
Julia Dunne Interiors offers a personalised design service both in the UK and France. Our unique designs and project management skills mean that we are able to work with a broad range of clients in both period and contemporary homes. Current projects include the restoration of a Victorian Drawing room and the up grading of fixtures and furnishings in a luxury Ski Chalet in the French Alps.

How did you first hear about the Houseology Trade services?
A colleague in the interior design industry recommended you as an efficient company to work with. The first time that I worked with you was three years ago when I needed to source a whole scheme for a ski chalet in France.

For you, what are the benefits of using our trade services?
The Trade Desk enabled me to pull the scheme together in a quick and cost efficient way. The project was a new build of eight rooms and I ended up sourcing most items from Houseology. These range from stunning crystal chandeliers, bespoke sofas and zip and link beds. Clients that stay in the Chalet have commented on how stunning the furnishings look.

Our Trade Desk offers bespoke product services, how has this been useful for you? What have you had made?

The chalet project was challenging as the bedroom sizes were small but I needed to achieve a luxury look. The team put the dimensions of all of the rooms onto a computer aided design programme (CAD) and we were then easily able to decipher the exact size of furnishings needed.

As the property was a commercial venture, the seating area in the living room needed to accommodate up to 12 guests and the team helped me create a stunning seating plan of two large sofas in complementary fabrics that still look brand new after three ski seasons! Bespoke pony skin cubes and occasional chairs from Andrew Martin completed the luxury look.

Can you tell us about a time that our trade desk helped your project run smoothly?
Houseology’s Trade Team are an interior designers essential tool to creating stunning room designs both in the UK and abroad without the headaches. Their knowledge and expertise assisted me in overcoming complex issues such as foreign VAT issues and overseas shipping. They are the first company I refer to when considering any project no matter what scale.

Founded by Julia Dempster in 2002, Interior Motives is world-renowned for its award-winning luxury hospitality interior environments. The client list extends to leading hospitality brands including Conrad, Crowne Plaza, Fairmont, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Jumeirah, Le Meridien, Radisson Blu, Ramada, Rotana, Shangri-La and Staybridge Suites.

Projects include Intercontinental Hotel in Mauritius, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Shangri-La Seychelles and Dubai, Rotana Yas Island and Doha, as well as Hyatt Riyadh and Hilton Al Khobar, Hilton Al Ahsa, Doubletree Al Khobar amongst many more.

For you, what are the benefits of using our trade services?
It is a one-stop shop and the customer service we have received has been excellent. It takes away the headache to be able to order everything from one source. They also have a wide range of suppliers and items to choose from.

Our trade desk offers international delivery, how has this been useful for you? Where have you had items delivered to?
We used Houseology for a large 5 star hotel project in Davos, Switzerland, again the items were sourced from a wide range of suppliers and then collated by the team and they arranged the transportation and installation, including assembly, to the Hotel in Switzerland. They even arranged the customs! We are now using them on a large residential tower project in Dubai due to the experience we had with them.

Can you tell us about a time that our trade desk helped your project run smoothly?
Intercontinental Davos was our first major international project with Houseology and they were extremely efficient in all aspects. I would say the main advantage was they managed to source additional items requested by the client within 24 hours. They also followed up with various suppliers and if there were damaged items, a replacement was arranged immediately. The staff are always available to discuss your requirements and were easy to talk to and very friendly. I couldn’t recommend the Houseology Trade Desk more highly.
