Gubi Semi Pendant Lamp
Product Code: GU0001
The Semi lamp was designed in Denmark by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup and draws its inspiration from geometric shapes including circles, triangles and rectangles and is shaped like two quarter circles put together - hence the name semi. It became world-famous for its curved enamelled metal design and in 1968 the original design was entered into an industrial competition at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture where it won with its unique design.
In the late 1980s the sales of the lamp surpassed even those of the classic Arne Jacobsen Ant chair to become a true design icon. Today this lamp hangs beautifully in both private homes and public spaces and is available in a range of colours and sizes.
SEMI Ø30 cm and Ø47 cm are available in matt black, matt white, glossy orange, glossy blue.
SEMI Ø60 cm is available in matt black and matt white.
The black and glossy blue coloured pendant lamps will be delivered with black textile cord & the white, glossy yellow and glossy mint coloured lamps will be delivered with a white textile cord.
