Created in 1955 the original Pedrera lamp was inspired by Gaudi's building in Barcelona with the same name. In 1955 the property company behind Gaudi's famous building wanted to convert the attics into flats and contacted the Spanish architect Barba Corsini. His assignment also included designing furniture out of which the Pedrera table lamp was born to complete the overall architectural experience of the flats. The design was re-edited by Jq. Ruiz Millet in 1991.
